Sonu is a very passionate teacher, administrator and researcher. I worked with her on a community of practice for first year experience, a group that were looking a ways to examine current practices for first year students. We worked together in Sydney, while the remainder of the group were in Rockhampton, GLadstone, Bundaberg and Mackay (campuses of CQUniversity).
Sonu was very capable of questioning and raising issues, particularly as they relate to the international cohort that she experienced at CQUniversity in Sydney, as well as her work in Scotland.

I have worked with Sonu for a number of years now and respect her expertise and friendly behaviour. Initially, my first encounter with her was in my capacity as the Academic Skills Officer at ISBT-UNE. I was a guest speaker in one of her classes delivering a Plagiarism Workshop. I also remained in her Economics class after the session to experience her teaching skills. I MUST admit I walked out of that class really understanding the concept of price elasticity and a whole range of other economic terms. She explained the learning content in such an easy way with such relevant examples that I wished I had her as my Economics lecturer at University. It’s my pleasure to write for Professor Sonu Sarda. Economics is fundamental for our day to day life, rise and fall of prices due to demand and/or due to other economic factors are quite critical to decide what to buy or when to buy . Prof Sonu Sarda was microeconomics professor during executive MBA. Her way of teaching is quite unique and simple, her explanation of various concepts through simple daily observations shows her depth and knowledge in the subject.
