Action? Reaction? Action!

Action? Reaction? Action!

How to take charge of yourself and strengthen your will power to accomplish inner peace?

1) Meditate 10 minutes a day to harbor inner strength,
2) Exercise,
3) Sleep well and
4) Eat healthy.

(Kelly McGoginal: The will power challenge)

But aren't they obvious and scientifically proven tools?? They clearly emphasize WHY we should use these tools and how they build on our well being.

Problem is HOW do we build on these healthy habits? Where to get the motivation for these?

To keep pursuing what we want to do and what we want to refrain from, we got to overcome the resistance in us. Resistance by switching the gears of our brain in tune with the route. By applying 5 seconds rule.(Mel Robbins)

For resisting what our core doesn't synch with, let the brain apply its auto-break, by holding back, for 5 seconds. Persevering resistance for 5 seconds can help us get over addictions and help us keep away from any of the 'so called' bad habits.

On the other hand, follow the same 5 second rule in action, for action to accomplish, what we want to do. Break the resistance and act within 5 seconds!

Our feelings and thoughts are completely in synchrony with each other. "We feel, what we think and we think what we feel."(SadGuru)

Yes it is up to us which way we want to drive. Positively steering Forward (Present & Future) or in reverse gear (Past)? Negativity or guilt of inaction will only weaken our will power, thus action for our goal. Acceptance is the key and then letting lose to let go, will bring in inner peace.

However this does not mean that motivation will ensue, only by positive thinking or dreaming of success. For some it works better by visualizing the negative aspects. For instance it might work better for some if reminded of the ill consequences, of unhealthy eating habits. This is like breeding shadow value of fear? But here, to use it for strengthening, at core. Those who are reward driven could remind themselves of the benefits of healthy life style. Keep the sticky notes around or pop up messages on healthy habits.

Last but not the least, as we call it work life balance. Devote equal time & energy to fuel the integral spaces of our success, in synchrony, with our personal to professional goals. We got to give time to develop skills-set required, for our goals. It doesn't stop here-Execute. Does this require time management?? NO, it is all about action, action, action so Execute, apply!
